Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device, 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height consisting of an oriental blue sphere gridlined silver and edged with silver rays charged with a stylized silver eagle between a diagonally crossed yellow key and silver quill above and two yellow lightning flashes palewise below, all enclosed at top by a black scroll doubled and inscribed "SENTINELS OF" in silver and at bottom by a like scroll inscribed "THE WARFIGHTER."

Symbolism
Oriental blue and silver gray (silver) are the colors traditionally used by Military Intelligence units. The gridlined sphere highlights worldwide capabilities and the eagle represents strength and tenacity. The lightning bolts, key and quill symbolize the unit's mission.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 13 Aug 1997.
